My name is Vanessa from Sydney, and I recently bought a Baba Sling
from you. I am writing to thank you for producing an excellent product,
that is beautifully made for such an affordable price!!
I have 12 month old (healthy and very heavy!!) twins, and before they were
born my husband and I purchased 2 baby bjorn front packs which we used only
4 times each. Over all I was very disappointed as they retail for $120 each
(that's $30 a go!!!) My twins grew rapidly, and as I, like allot of people
have back pain, the baby bjorns became such a hassle to use. I would have
loved one of your Baba Slings from the start, and am tinged with sadness at
how much more I could have carried them around had I had one!
So at the age of 12 months, we've started anew, and I now feel that I am
maximising the 'one on one' time that I have with each baby.
My little boy loves being held close to me and even rests his head on my
shoulder when I carry him around. But most importantly, I know that he is
safe and comfortable. Twins are usually restrained to a pram when we're out
and therefore miss out on being carried around as much as a singleton baby
is. I want to thank you for allowing me to experience this feeling. I am
really looking forward to using my Baba Sling from the beginning for our next
baby in a few years time.
Finally I would like to thank you for the excellent service my husband and I
received. Our Baba Sling was on our doorstep less than 24 hours after we
placed our order with you over the phone. Just great!
I look forward to buying Baba Slings as gifts for friends with new babies in
the future.
Thankyou so very very much, I now feel a deeper sense of bonding just by
being able to carry my babies properly for more than 1 minute without my
arms feeling like they were about to fall off. I carried my little girl,
who is 13kg, for an hour the other day, without back pain! They love it

Hi Shanti,
I am using another type of sling with my baby (third), which I am having a few
problems with (not enough padding and somehow can't seem to fit her in
properly). I had the same problems with the last child, which is why I was
looking for another sling, and a 'virtual' friend mentioned your sling,
which she is very happy with. Another friend has a friend :-) who has one of
your slings, and lent it to me to try. Neither hubby nor I had any problems
with it, and found it very comfortable, so once I convinced him the money
would be worth it, I just had to find one!
I am rather desperate for another one, as my current one is not doing my
shoulders much good, and my little darling can't fit her legs in very
comfortably (unlike the Baba Sling) so I will try and get into town on
Sunday.

Hi Shanti!
I have been meaning to write to you for some time - but never seem to have had the time. I received my Baba Sling a couple of weeks ago - and was delighted at the speed in which it arrived!! I live in the Blue Mountains, NSW - and from the time I sent the oder & cheque, it took a mere 6 working days to get here!!!!
I am thrilled with my Baba sling - the design is great (Orange African trim, burgandy base) - and best of all, my baby LOVES it. My baby is 14 months old - and loves to be carried on my back - the Baba sling is PERFECT for this - and whenever he sees it - he gets very excited and makes a horsie-type noise - his way of letting me know that he wants a 'horsie-ride' on my back!! The first night I had it - I carried him around the house on my back via the Baba sling - and he fell sound asleep!!!
Since then, it has been so valuable for getting things done around the house - and running around the shops when you don't want to use a pram.
Best of all - it makes for lovely, snuggly closesness with my baby - who is already very clingy with me - so this is just as valuable to him as it is to me!!!

Dear Shanti,
I have been carrying my 3 month old daughter, Laura, in your baba sling since she was 3 weeks old (born 12th October 2002). My husband left for Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, when Laura was 2 weeks old and the rest of us followed him 7 weeks later. We have two other children aged 7 and 4.
I am currently recognised at the children's International school as the mum with the orange baby sling! It has been absolutely fantastic as life has thrown a few challenges at me since Laura's birth. She has been at her happiest whilst snuggled up in there.

You are more than welcome to put my letter on your website.
Today we went to the Batu caves and climbed 272 steps to the Indian temple. It was so easy with Laura in the sitting postion in the baba sling. I had so many people come up to me and say how beautiful she is. It makes life a lot easier as we can still hold our other two girls hands and Laura just checks out the world then falls asleep!
By the way I have given quite a number of people your website from the shoulder pad. It was a great hit in Fitzroy Street and Chadstone shopping centre, Melbourne. I actually got to the point where I avoided eye contact with people as I was never going to get my Christmas shopping done otherwise!!!!!
Over here I have many comments as the concept is popular in Indonesia, and many of the amahs (maids) are from there. However people like yours better as they are safer.

I RECEIVED THE SLING TODAY I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! MY DAUGHTER BROOKE IS ONLY 3 WEEKS OLD I PUT HER IN IT THIS MORNING WHEN I GOT IT IN THE MAIL, SHE LOVES IT . SHE SLEPT COMFORTABLY IN IT (AFTER A FEW MINOR AJUSTMENTS). I ALSO WAS ABLE TO NURSE HER WITHOUT A PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD AT LEAST 3 OTHER KINDS OF CARRIERS AND NONE OF THEM EVEN COMPARE TO THE BABASLING, ITS WONDERFUL. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I'm thrilled with the sling - the purple colour is gorgeous
too. I had my first sling in London over 5 years ago and it saw me
through two children. I wore it all the time. I'm so glad the idea has
caught on here in Australia. So many people asked me where I got my
first one when we visited Australia and I don't think they were
available then at all.
Yours is a great design and very strong. My third child is due in 11
weeks and I can't wait to use it. Thanks so much for making my
favourite baby accessory.

Hello Shanti,
Your sling is brilliant. I realize you already know that though! I bought a sling in the UK that was good but not a patch on yours and in comparison was way overpriced.
Not enough people know about using slings which is a pity. Though in Oz parents are more switched on I think. I found that it was so easy to breastfeed with no one even noticing and also the simplicity of putting my baby in to do shopping trips was fantastic. It was incredible how many comments I got from mothers that they had never seen the idea.

Well, how to thank you. My second son was unwell for the first 9 weeks of his life, and your Babasling was the only way I was able to settle him. We initially thought he was colicky, like my first son Jae, but we have since found him to be lactose intolerant. We used the Snugli carrier with Jae, which felt unsafe, unnatural and uncomfortable. I could only carry him for an hour at a time. It was difficult to put on and when he slept, it was only ever for a short period. Who sleeps upright?
The Babasling leaves me two free hands to attend to Jae (now two). I can cook, clean, play and walk with Nat (now 4 months) close and happy. He sleeps in the Babasling for long periods and wakes with a smile (not a sore neck!)
My husbands cousin (a leading chiropractor in our area) believes these upright carriers should be taken off the market as they are not good for healthy developing little spines.
I think all new mums and midwives should embrace the Babasling, and you can be sure I am telling everyone its benefits.
